Bokunenjin

Bokunenjin

Bokunenjin is located by the side of a bamboo grove path in Shuzenji Hot Spring Resorts. It is a famous Soba (buckwheat noodles) shop in Izu and serves Juwari-soba (soba noodles made of 100% buckwheat flour) that is an epicurean delight.
The regular-sized Juwari-soba is made with no binding agents, but with water. The cook is particular about excellent smoothness of soba to the throat. The soba is visually beautiful and finely thin. Seiro-soba is recommended if you want to enjoy the flavor of soba and excellent smoothness to the throat when swallowing it.
Soba made of finely ground flour is used for the regular menu, but you can also ask for soba made of coarsely ground flour. The shop is so popular that soba sometimes gets sold out before close time.
Most people order the shop's specialty, Sakura shrimp tempura with a light and crispy batter. A bite of it spreads the flavor of shrimp in your mouth.
A century-old Japanese-style inn was remodeled into the shop. You can enjoy looking at the bamboo grove from inside the shop. After enjoying the delicious soba, relax and enjoy yourself while drinking soba-yu (hot soba water).
